NW Ohio FCA & Designetics $25,000 Scholarship Nomination

Fellowship of Christian Athletes' Vision is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. Our mission is to lead every coach and athlete into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. Due to a generous contribution from Designetics, a needs-based $25,000 scholarship will be awarded to an FCA student-leader in Northwest Ohio.


SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

  • FCA Leadership position in an FCA huddle and consistent attendance at FCA meetings
  • Integrate FCA Values both inside and outside of FCA
  • Service expectations in the community 
  • Minimum GPA requirement – 3.5 GPA (cumulative)
  • Have been accepted to a 2-year or 4-year college, university, or vocational school 
  • Student to complete all questions on the application, including what they accomplished while serving in FCA during high school; how they plan to stay connected to FCA in college; and how will they continue to incorporate the FCA Vision, Mission and Values in their life
  • Letter of recommendation from FCA Huddle Leader
  • Must be nominated for the scholarship by a coach, teacher, or FCA volunteer

APPLICATION PROCESS

  • Nominations accepted January 1-31, 2025
  • An application will be emailed to individuals nominated with instructions on how to complete and submit their application
  • Applications must be received by February 28, 2025
  • Top 6 candidates will be interviewed via Zoom by FCA in March
  • Top 3 candidates to attend in-person interview with Scholarship Committee in April

DISBURSEMENT

  • Scholarship winner will be announced in May
  • Student to provide an official invoice from college or university each semester
  • FCA will send payments directly to the school
  • Scholarship will be paid over the course of the student-athlete's college experience, provided a minimum GPA of 3.5 is maintained annually
  • Student to attend and share testimonial at FCA Golf Classic in May and Unity Breakfast in November
  • Student to submit grade card at the end of each school year, along with a statement of how they integrated FCA in college
